Dear Mark,

In April 2010, I decided to let your company insulate the attic in my house. I read on the website all about TAP Insulation and I have to admit that I was skeptical as to whether it could really deliver all that is promised but with the tax credits as well local utilities giving energy rebates, I felt that now was the time to do it.

I took your technician's advice on clearing out all the debris in the attic. I did it myself to save some money but after doing it, I must say that if anyone wants to do the same I would suggest that they pay your crew to do the job because it was overwhelming the amount of debris most people don't think about. Anyone who has had any roof work done will see what I saw. There were old wood shingles all over the place as well as other construction waste that was never removed. Three nights and 39 trash bags later, it was finally done not to mention the amount of dust that made a very dirty job.

Now that a few months have gone by since the installation I wanted to tell you how the product performs. During the winter months my heater was constantly cycling to maintain the set temperature causing me to have monthly bills of $145.00. After installation my bill dropped to $45 and my unit stopped cycling and maintained the set temperature only coming on every hour or so. In fact, the heater didn't come on at all for a 3 week period and it was cold outside. I was amazed! Now that it is summer time, I am using the A/C. I am able to drop the house temperature 8 degrees in about 20 minutes and the unit only cycles 1/2 hour or so to maintain and when it runs, it only lasts 2-3 minutes.

The insulation is performing way above my expectations. It is amazing that it could be 100 degrees outside and even hotter in the attic but my house maintains 78 degrees inside and I can enjoy a cool house without an A/C unit constantly running and my power bill going sky high.
